#SoCS #prompt : Stream of consciousness #haiku (brain unedited)
Gentle thunderstorm
patters, glowing in the night.
Nature’s lullaby.
Woke up with this haiku in my head. It’s not the greatest, but this IS stream of consciousness Saturday hosted by Linda Hill and that’s what erupted from my brain unedited.
Didn’t know that “Coat” was the prompt when the haiku came to mind. So here goes…
Both great haiku!!

I DISAGREE about the first one not being great. I love it! I felt like I could hear the gentle storm.

It’s so fascinating to wake up with a haiku streaming through your head and realize there’s rain patting the windows and the diffuse glow of lightning in the distance.

Yes! I have found that my thinking structure has changed since I fell in love with haiku. And everything is more fun. Even standing in line at the supermarket.

Do you have days where the words you say start having 5-7-5 syllables, too?

How I revel in your words the Haiku produces beauty… but I can’t write it myself it feels like punishment when I try.

Thanks for the kind words. 🙂
There are people who can put books together in the right sequence, but I need help with that. I’m happy to know that I can bring a little bit of joy into the world.
